Why is: "Tous m'a félicité" incorrect?
Instead of Toute le monde m'a félicité...
- 'Tout le monde m'a félicité' = everyone congratulated me
→ 'tout le monde' = singular as it refers to a "singular quantity"
- 'Tous m'ont félicité' = all of them congratulated me
→ 'tous' = plural as 'tous' refers to "plural quantity"

I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
