Why does 

Oui, j'ai regardé ça aussi hier." means:Yes, I watched this one too yesterday. 
AND NOTYes, I watched that yesterday too.

Sorry about the delay in answering this, but it slipped my mind.

In this example, I think it means -

Me too, I watched this yesterday 

which in French could be 

Moi aussi, j'ai regardé ça hier

BUT If you said 

J'ai regardé ça hier aussi 

You are saying that you watched whatever 'that' stands for and something else.

which I believe in English would be -

Yes, I watched that yesterday too 

But good question!

Bonjour Archie,

I am not sure if you are questioning the place of 'too' (aussiin English, but you could put it after 'that' or after 'ça' in French.
