Using "pour conduite" in one of the examples

Hi,

Not related specifically to the direct subject of this lesson, but I'm interested in the grammar in the sentence "Vous comparaissez devant le tribunal pour conduite..." I would have used "pour conduire...". Is this covered in a lesson somewhere?

Thanks.

Bonjour Karen,

In French, "conduite" can refer to 2 different things:

Votre conduite est dangereuse ! = Your driving is dangerous!
Votre conduite est inacceptable ! = You conduct/behaviour is unacceptable!

-> I believe the latter is what is being referred to in the sentence above

Take a look here: conduite

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
