Why does verb "faiblissent" agree with "bougies" and not "la lumière?   La lumière des bougies"?

Hi Laura,

i have checked the Kwiz and it is correct -

La lumière des bougies faiblit après quelque temps The candle light weakens after a while

It doesn't agree with bougies but with lumière which is correct.

Bonne Continuation!

Hi Laura, unless you post the entire sentence, I can't really tell you what's going on.
