Why has suivi turned to suivis?

Question

"J'ai suivi mes amis.". How would you write "I followed them"?= Je les ai suivisWhy is 'suivi' without an s in J'ai suivi mes amis?

Bonjour Jessica,
That's an exellent question! When a direct object pronoun is placed BEFORE a verb conjugated in Le Passé Composé, you will agree the past participle with it.

J'ai adoré cette série policière = I loved this crime series
-> Je l'ai adorée = I loved it

J'ai mangé trois pommes = I are three apples
-> Je les ai mangées = I ate them
