"I have a few questions which I hope you can answer. 1. Are "finir" and "terminer" synonyms? 2. For "I am late." would you say "Je suis en retard." OR " J'ai du retard"? 3. For "at this instant" would you say "a l'instant or "a cet instant"?
Sorry, can't type accents on my keyboard.
"Bonjour
Can you please clarify for me why the answer on 1 of the questions - see below - contains "de" before the adjective and noun?
"Ta soeur et ses amis ont de jolies poupées."
I would have expected "des" because "poupées" is plural.
Since 'cette fille' is referring to a specified girl, as explained in case 2b, shouldn't we use 'elle est'?
Thanks
