Might beI have seen might be + verb (e.g.) eating as either il pourrait manger or il mangerait. Are they both correct.

In the lesson we are to translate "It was my favorite word for years" The word referred to was baguette. Since it is a specific word, why is the translation using C'est?

Use of sur ?

In 'Lawless French - Grammar Lessons there is the following example denoting 'going to' that uses SUR not À.

un vol SUR Paris > a flight to Paris

'sur' is not mentioned in the lesson above, could you please explain.

Bonsoir. In the lesson samples, "Je la lui donne" is translated as "I give it to him/her." However, in the mini quiz, I chose both "She shows it tohim" and "She shows it to her" as possible taranslations for "Elle la lui montre" and this was scored as "nearly correct." Why is that?

why is 'du' used for Alana est descendu du train juste a temps?the instructions prior says 'de' becomes 'du' when followed by le or les - neither of which occurs in this example. is it because train is masculine? and the du train replaces 'de le train'? It's a bit unclear given de l' is used in the example with masculine noun l'avion - 'Aurelie descend de l'avion'. thank you
