This, that and soIn discussing the use of "le" or " l' " in a response as a substitute for an idea in a previous statement the explanation is that in English we often use "that" or "it" in the same way. But in the translation you use the word "so," which is what we usually say. It's a small thing but I'd suggest adding "so" to those other words in the explanation.

Should et be used instead of en?In the sentence below, it is indicating taller and taller. Why is en used -- plus en plus? Should it be plus et plus? Ils deviennent de plus en plus grands

Cannot Use conjugated VerbSince we can't use a conjugated verb after la veille or le lendeman, how do we say "the day before everything burned, the police was on their heel"? Do we have to say la veille que tout était brulé or le jour précédant tout brulé?

NE PAS VOULOIRJe ne veux pas parler avec elle means I REFUSE to speak with her. NE PAS VOULOIR always entails a refusal. To say I don't want to talk with her would be Je n'ai pas envie de parler avec elle. Does any one disagree with the above? This seems pretty fundamental.

"I'm good at maths,...." I think that this English translation should drop the "s" on maths.

Is this passive voice? In the sentence, "je plais à Luc", it would seem that "je" would be the subject and "Luc" the object, but in the translation, "Luc likes me", that is turned around and "Luc" is the subject and "me" the object. So the english translation doesn't feel passive but the french does.
