Could you add a way to hear the story in English after you do quiz?I was having a lot of fun doing first quiz a second time and almost got to end and lost it all. I then tried the second quiz and again got to end and lost that too. Just wish you could retrieve it all when you mess up. Thanks for fun anyway. I did learn a lot about what I don't know.

Terminology of tensesI am not a native speaker of English and the terms I learnt for verb tenses in the past are "Present Perfect", "Past Tense" and "Past Perfect" (plus the continuous equivalents). Now you say "in English we use the Simple Past followed by the Imperfect" and I wonder what these verb forms are meant to be, especially since in your example "He played football when he was small" both verbs (to play and to be) seem to stand in the same tense, namely the one I was taught to call "Past Tense".

Why apostrophise?I am aware of the general confusion between "des" the indefinite plural article and "des"="de"+"les" the combination of the "de" with the definite plural article. However, normally neither of them gets apostrophised. Whence the exception here?

vous êtes assis??Hi - the example "Le canapé dans lequel / où vous êtes assis m'a coûté une fortune", the translation has me a bit confused (where you're sitting = vous êtes assis). My mind wants to make "where you're sitting" the present tense - ie: vous (vous) asseyez. However if the passé composé is correct, my brain wants to either write vous vous êtes assis, or vous avez assis?? Thanks in advance..
