Am I correct in thinking one uses demi when talking about something with an indefinite article and moite with a definite article?

Why is it " Allez, lève-toi! " ? (Vous or tu?)

I am confused by this sample imperative sentence.

Shouldn't it be Va, lève-toi!

what about using mort or né as an adjective?If you are saying the king is dead or the baby is born, can you use mort or né as an adjective, viz le roi est mort, Le bébé est né?

differnce between -ant and -er/-ir/-re

Hi,

since using the -ant and the infinitive both mean -ing in english, what's the difference between them and when would you use one and not the other?

Unanswered questions and scoring.I understood that marks are not deducted for unanswered questions. However, I made no errors in a test but had 2 unanswered questions (1 in error) and I was deducted 0.6%. I should be working on B1 and B2 but because I am only 2% short of 100% in A1, I have been determined to achieve that level. Over time, I have done 12 tests with lots of ups and downs and am no nearer reaching 100%. It is much easier to progress at B1 and B2 than it is at A1!! Bien cordialement, Beverley

Telling the time in FrenchBonjour! If you use the 12 hour clock, instead of 24 hour, to say the time in French, do you always use "demie" for half past the hour, even if the time is after mid-day? For example, in the weekend writing challenge: Level A2: "This weekend, I became an aunty!", I got this line wrong: (below, is copied from the writing challenge page:) You wrote: vers dix heures trente du soir. Correct answers: vers vingt-deux heures trente. or vers dix heures et demie (du soir). I understood from kwiziq lessons, that if the time was after mid-day, then you wrote trente instead of demie, and if you used the 12 hour clock, you needed to state if the time was morning or evening (which I did). Please clarify? Cheryl
