Pas de Quoi ?

The sentence I am trying to make sense of is: "Pas de quoi rigoler a priori mais tonton.......". My understanding is: "Nothing to laugh at in the last statement but uncle....". Am I correct and is the "Pas de Quoi" part really just a shortening of: Il y a pas de quoi?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Aigü and aigüeThe example uses masculine and feminine endings but in your "instruction" there is no mention feminine v s masculine...only the NOT derived from verbs... become -üe in the written form, but are pronounced in exactly the same way as the masculine form." Could you clarify this?

Ce qui se passe vs Qu'est ce qui se passe

Can someone please help me figure out why the correct answer to "Savez vous . . . s'est passé" is "ce qui" and not "qu'est ce qui se passé"? I thought the latter meant "what happened?"

Just a comment. My French penpal drilled into my head "et demie", deux heures et demie, onze heures et demie, but she never told me about "midi/minuit et demi", which I learned here. :-)

Anthony brings his sunglasses (in case it's sunny.) (on a C1 test)My answer - Anthony apporte des lunettes de soleil au cas où il ferait du soleil. Marked nearly correct. Your correct answer - .......... au cas où il ferait BEAU. Doesn't that mean - in case the weather is nice, beautiful? Can you also say -- au cas où il y aurait du soleil. Please explain.

I understand that this is an idiomatic phrases that means "I know something about ..." Just curious. How do the reflexive "me" and the preposition "y" refer to or mean? "I am familiar with myself" and "at ... in that area"? The "y" seems redundant since you say "en moteurs" at the end. Why not, "je me connais en moteurs."

Ne que vs seulementJe trouve que l’utilisation de ‘ne serait que pour les garder en vie’ is unnecessarily complicated given the context of the sentence. My preference would be ‘pour seulement les garder en vie’. But I like your emphasis on the use and position of seulement and que. The vast majority of English speakers position the word ‘only’ incorrectly. It drives me crazy!
