Why is it sur ordre and not sure l'ordre de Napoléon 

For "And I've worked in the same town...", I put "J'ai travaillé dans the la même ville..." but the correct answer is given as "Et je travaille dans la même ville...".

Why is the present conjugation of travailler used instead of the compound tense?

I had a doubt regarding this statement : 

Je pense que tu vendrais facilement ta maison.

Shouldn't statements with penser/croire etc only be followed by indicatif in the positive or subjonctif in the negative? In what cases can we use conditionnel? I would think this particular sentence should use vendre in the future tense. So:

Je pense que tu vendras facilement ta maison.

How do you know whether to use "depuis" or "il y a" to express a period of time. These lessons have had "J'habite à Paris depuis cinq ans" and also "J'ai mangé il y a un heure"

hi, why "L'année prochaine" is femenine in the example:

L'année prochaine, il commence l'université.

Can one no longer use  je puis?

«Depuis, impossible de trouver une position qui puisse soulager la douleur. Je ne peux ni dormir, ni m'allonger, ni me déplacer correctement.»  Can the first sentence really stand on its own? It would make more sense to me if this were all one long sentence with a comma after “douleur”. Am I wrong?
