In this lesson, Expressing Numbers from 70 to 999, the paragraph which begins "Note: Before the 1990 Spelling Reform, numbers including et as well as numbers higher than 100 didn’t include the hyphen...", has two examples, "deux cent" and "deux-cent", neither of which have "cent" written as "cents". They should have an "s" at the end shouldn't they, since they are not followed by another number?
I understand why we use the definite article for one and possessive adjective for the other buy why are they both singular?
Hello, I can’t find any lessons about “ce dont” on kwiziq though I’ve seen it being used by french people many times. So I look it up on lawless french and find a comparison between “ce dont” and “dont” (https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/indefinite-relative-pronouns-ce-dont-quoi/) and I still can’t tell the difference between the two. I was looking at the Lawless French article on inversion and saw that 'ainsi' may be followed by inverted word order. Does that mean that, as an alternative to 'Ainsi ma mère m'a raconté que', you could write 'Ainsi m'a raconté ma mère que...' ?
