Elles sont à 2,35€ le kilo.I noticed in one of the writing tests "They cost..." one translation is given as "Elles sont à..." or "they are at..." Is the à after être required when talking about prices and measures in French, or is it optional? ~Thanks for your help.

Passer chez qn: avoir ou etre?

Hi!

I'm confused with the meaning "I pass by sth/sb", would you pls help to clarify?

in the examples to the lesson "Passer with etre and avoir... change meanings" https://kwiziq.learnfrenchwithalexa.com/my-languages/french/view/4583 the sentence Elle est passée chez Laurent hier is certainly used with "etre", while in the example to the current lesson the example with the same meaning as I can understand from translation implies "avoir": Je passe devant chez toi tous les matins.

What is the difference? Is there any particualar nuance?

learning French language or learning how to use a computerSince I am «old school» and did not grow up with computers, I am always curious if the online educational sites are for the purpose of simply getting people to learn to use a computer correctly or if they are for the purpose of learning the subject matter presented. To that goal, is this a user group to learn the French language or to learn the computer usage with the French language as the medium? I hope someone can/will answer this.
