Il y a des toiles d'arraignées partout. Tu ___as vue (Did you see them?)I filled the blank with en but the correct answer was les. Please explain why I'm wrong.

I was a bit surprised to see that champion is still gendered (championne). In daily speech I almost never hear championne used to refrer to a woman.
