On an test I received for this lesson. Kwiziq says "it is extraordinary that something happened" translates in French to "il est extraordinaire que quelque chose se soit passé"

My thoughts: "it is extraordinary that something happened" seems to refer to a certain factual event , already in the past, which is not a suggestion, wish, etc. , so why use subjonctif ? This clearly is not the same as "It is important for something to happen..."

Can you tell me which is the correct translation in this case and why?

I find it hard to decide which category it comes in.

It is logical that you have gone first.

1. Il est logique que vous soyez passée la première

2. C'est logique que vous soyez passée la première

Partitive articles

We are told that partitive articles become de or d' in negative tenses. Yet in Aurélie's Chrismas quiz 'il ne veut que de la bûche' is given as a correct answer.

Please explain.

the first rule and the second are the same?the first rule says 1. usec'est in sentences it/he/she is + a/the/my... + thing/people but the 2nd says when using If it/he/she is is followed by un/une/le/la - use c'est. - but isnt 'un' 'a' anyway? - im not sure I understand the difference here...
