un certain talent

In being asked to complete a phrase beginning 'un' and meaning 'a kind of talent' why is 'genre de talent' marked wrong? Is that not what it means? The dictionary gives une sorte , but un type is also possible. If you want us to translate the english 'a certain talent' , which is I think wat the French means and is certainly different from ' a kind of talent' which is rather perjorative, perhaps that's what you should ask us to translate?

I used 'mas' for farmhouse which is what my dictionary said. Is this a word which is now out of date?

Agreement of past participle Et ce que j'ai découvert à l'intérieur m'a laissée - Laisser is conjugated with avoir so why is the past participle agreeing. I guess it has something to do with l'intérieur being feminine but I can't work out why.

Adverbial pronoun

Bonjour,

I was wondering why in my tests that I'm taking that I'm seeing the adverbial pronouns as well as qui que etc. I'm only in A0/A1

Other translations of Fearless

I remember hearing people sing a translation of Davy Crockett that included the line "l'homme qui n'a jamais peur." Can't "the fearless Gaul" also be translated as "le Gaulois sans peur"?

after negationsEt… vous n'avez pas une petite place supplémentaire pour moi ?

My questions is why the correct answer is "une petite place..." instead of "de petite place" since it's after a negation.
