Vocabulary list

The vocab list for Vive les legumes has pumpkin as une citrouille, yet it was marked incorrect with les potirons as the correct answer. Where did I go wrong? Thank you

Hi Sue,

I have flagged this up as 'potiron' is also used for 'pumpkin' in French.

They are just different species of the same vegetable.

If you want to know more here is a link in Fench -

https://www.fondation-louisbonduelle.org/legume/potiron/.

You can also take a look at my answer to a similar question -

P.S. broccoli is the same in French and English but with just one -c :'le brocoli'

Bonne Continuation !

Bonjour à tous,

Thank you all for your comments. The vocabulary list has now been updated.

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !

Such a nice question you asked! I didn't used citrouille because I like this plant turning into a coach in Cinderella. So, I used a potiron meaning a pumpkin as a plant. I wanted to find the difference in their usage, looked through French Viki - all in vain. There is no the word broccoli in the vocab list at all. I wrote as I thought right and heard listening to the text - brocoli (then found it in the dictionary). But they marked it as a mistake without correction. I wonder if I should be grateful... but still Thanks.
