Bon Jour !! I saw this sentence in your examples: Alice s'est maquillée. (Alice put her make-up on.) I don' t see the verb mettre (to put) ??

How about allowing the women to answer properly with "restée" ?

"Restée" is the correct past participle for a female, right?

You could program to accept both male and female answers, perhaps.

Women and girls need to get in the habit of using the feminine.

Yeah, yeah, I know that genderless is coming down the pike, but for now it is incontrovesial that women use feminite forms in French. How elegant it would be if I could write, "Je suis restée."

Colloquial vs formal

The lesson states " either de or pour is colloquial with abstract nouns (votre compréhension, patience, gentillesse...), with merci de being a bit more elegant.

I don't get the sense of this statement.

If both are colloquial then what is the formal way of expressing " Thank you for your understanding".

Se rappeler avec ou sans “de” ou “des”For a question on the topic of rappeler and souvenir the use of “de” is tested. I gave the response " Vous vous rappelez Îles Cyclades" and did not use rappelez “des” but this was marked incorrect. All discussion communicates that "de" is not needed or is optional after "rappeler" except for stressed pronoun. This is in contrast to requiring “de” after se souvenir. I am trying to understand why "des" is needed in this situation.

How do you form inverted questions in passè composé using the object pronouns y and en?For instance, if you want to ask, "Did he go there?" Or how about, "Did they take any?"

Fireworks. Singular vs plural.

Fireworks is translated in this lesson as "le feu d'artifices" but in this page https://progress.lawlessfrench.com/studylists/view/946769 it is translated as "le feu d'artifice". In Larouse online it is translated as "le feu d'artifice" too. The Kwiziq writing challenge about Bastille Day also uses "le feu d'artifice".

But elsewhere on the web I can see examples with "les feux d'artifices" and even "les feux d'artifice". So all 4 possibilities of singlular and plural for both the noun and adjective are covered.

Are all of these variations correct?
