Vendredi and Le VendrediHi, I'm having a problem understanding why "Pierre is taking the train on Friday" is wrong. I see the correct answer is "Pierrs takes the train on Fridays", but the "explain this" is not really explaining it for me as the only difference is the "le" vendredi. Can you explain why please when you get a chance. Thanks a mil, Celine

Demander "a" or demande "de"

The question was to translate, "You will ask me for money...." but the correct answer was "vous demanderez DE...." not "vous demandez A". I thought when you ask someone for something it was "demander a"

Pronunciation of M. & Mme?

In "M. Dupont et Mme Vichy vont au bureau." above, it sounds like M. is just being pronounced as the letter M and not as monsieur but Mme is pronounced as madame. Is that really how this would be said aloud? Also, is it correct that the M. has a period to denote abbreviation but the Mme does not? Is there a rule to help explain this?

la fois dernière v. la dernière foisComme vous, le français n'est pas ma langue maternelle, mai enfin je le parle chaque jour. Alors, je n'ai jamais entendu dire "la fois dernière". En tout cas, je l'ai googlé et trouvé l'expression tel quel dans les actualités. Mais jamais dans le language quotidiens. Pour moi, ça grince!
