Why the article "le" before "on" in "Et l'on entend la même chanson, oh !"?Obviously, my question is not related to the current subject. However, since the sentence is used in this lesson, I figured it would be ok to present it here. In any case, I have yet to run into this construction in my lessons. Can someone point me in the right direction perhaps? Thank you.

l'écriture (f)The noun 'écriture' (handwriting) is feminine. But apparently the correct translation of "We cannot read his handwriting" is 'Nous ne pouvons pas lire son écriture'. I was using an exercise book and I thought the answer in the back might be a mistake, but Google Translate also comes up with the same translation. La bonne phrase est 'Nous ne pouvons pas lire sa écriture', n'est-ce pas?

I have done the test several times still have mistakes in adjectives.

One of the sentence does not make sense for me or let us say could not understand what does it mean,

un orge grand comme une maison,

if I consider grand irregular adjective and commes before maison but the answer was wrong ! Can you help me understand why it is wrong and what does this sentence mean in English.

The quiz says: "Lucas a monté la nouvelle armoire de sa soeur: means.

The 2 answers expected were:

1. Lucas assembled his sister's new wardrobe.

2. Lucas took his sister's new wardrobe upstairs.

But the French does not specify the location so the translation can only be "Lucas took his sister's new wardrobe up" - not upstairs. Perhaps it was up a ramp or a hill. Since that translation was not offered surely only the one answer should be allowed.
