Jeudi, elle a un rendez-vous. -Tu veux dire ce jeudi ou ________ ? On Thursday, she's got a date. -You mean this Thursday or the following Thursday? In this question on the exam, it appears that both «le jeudi d'après» and «le jeudi prochain» would be correct given the phrasing of the question; however, my response was marked as incorrect. Please explain the reason that «le jeudi prochain» would be incorrect in this example as I am unable to comprehend that. Merci, Ron

Is this rule exclusive for partitive articles? Is it correct to say "Je ne Viens pas de natation" as a negative form of "Je viend de la natation"

Note that l'un/l'une agrees in gender with the object it refers to.Tu veux fraise ou vanille? - Ni l'un ni l'autre. I note that both `fraise` and `vanilla` are feminine, therefore should the reply not be Ni l`une ni l`autre?

French verbs that require an indirect object pronoun The French verb appeler, to call: if you wanted to say: "I am calling her", would you use a direct or an indirect object pronoun, please? .. Je l'appelle ? (l' = la: direct object pronoun)...or... Je lui appelle ? (lui = to her, indirect object pronoun). For example, you must use only an indirect object pronoun when using these verbs: écrire; envoyer; rendre, and many others, etc. What about this verb appeler, please? Calling her, or calling to her? What is the meaning of "Nous sommes avant vous dans la queue."?time: avant (before) space devant (in front of) So given the use definitions in the lesson, I am unclear the reason that «avant» is used relative to queue. To me queue is an indication of space as opposed to time. Please explain.
