Writing Challenge Week 57, level A1. I'm learning to play the piano.The sentence is 'I am learning to play the piano.' The correct answer is "J'apprends à jouer du piano." Does the à go with the apprendre or with jouer? What is the link to the appropriate lesson? Thank you - I'm stumped! Terri

Après que + l'indicatifJust a thought. After “ Après que“, you use an indicative tense. Since the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person singular for “réussir“ is the same for both the present tense and the simple past tense. These two tenses are both indicative tenses, one present tense and the other past tense. Could “J'étais soulagée après que tu réussis ton exam“ also be considered a correct answer in this example?

Passé composé with être or avoir or both?Hi can you help me with the conjugation of "passer"with être and avoir. There is an example of both but I'm not sure how to know when to use them.. Ma tante est passée........, nous avons passé une semaine...... When it's se passer it's not a problem as it's always conjugated with être. Many thanks

there's a contradiction between lessonsThere's a contradiction between this lesson and J'habite à + [ville] = I live in + [city] in French As there explains that you always use à for cities. I quote "In French, to say which city you live in, you use: J'habite à + the city". Which one is right?
