Chère petite amie or chère amieIn 2.Sa ___ le quitte. (His dear girlfriend leaves him, I put petite amie which I thought meant girlfriend, but am marked as nearly right, correct answer being chère amie?

Can 'aussi que' be used to mean "(included) as well as"?An example from lesson on comparative adverbs: Je chante aussi bien que ma tante. I sing as well as my aunt. Here, aussi que means as well as. In English, we can also say 'there are sandwiches as well as a cake', in which 'as well as' implies 'included as well as'. Cheryl

to speak + languageYou didn't explain why we can use both forms with "to speak + language." Is it because a language is both a noun and an adjective?

Comment vont-ils aller en Allemagne ? (How are they going to Germany?)I just learned "Comment vont-ils aller en Allemagne ?" Why is aller necessary here? Why can't it just be "Comment vont-ils en Allemagne ?" Thanks

Can one use this in the passe compose; Je suis venu; I came from?

Or the imperfect Je venais; I used to or was coming from?
