Passé Simple + Conditionnel PrésentIn the Writing Challenge 26 level C1, the sentence "... Pompidou décida de faire construire ... un centre ... qui PERMETTRAIT ..." uses Conditionnel Présent in the subordinate clause even though the decision was made in the past (Passé Simple). Is it incorrect to use Conditionnel Passé?

Using "depuis" with the correct tense."Suzanne hasn't seen him since 2013.'' -- This sentence does not make entirely clear whether Suzanne is seeing him now or not. In the first case it ought to be "Suzanne ne l'a pas vue depuis 2013", whereas in the latter it would be "Suzanne ne le voit pas depuis 2013", right? -- Chris.

about subjunctiveI encountered this sentence: Si intelligent soit-il, il ne pourra réussir ce concours étant donné son peu de préparation. Is this another way of creating a sentence with subjunctive? Thank you very much.
