Est-ce que c'est possible d'écrire "Je n'ai fait rien", ç'est-a-dire, mettre le "rien" de la négation à la fin de la phrase ? Je crois avoir entendu qu'avec ce mot c'est possible mais Kwiziq ne me l'a pas permis.
Nous nous aimons
means
1)we love each other
2)we love ourselves
The recommended translation of 'It [the year] started with the biggest heartache of my life' is 'Elle a commencé avec la plus grosse peine de cœur de ma vie'.
Is there a reason why 'avec' is preferred over 'par' in this sentence?
The example cited in the page of instruction regarding ''Expressing intervals of dates and times in French = from ... to' is 'The festival lasts from the 24th of July to the 5th of August'/'Le festival dure du 24 juillet au 5 août'.
I am therefore puzzled by the answer to the fill-in the-blank question 'Le festival dure ________ mai/The festival lasts from the third to the tenth of May'. My answer was 'du troisième au dixième', while the answer provided as a correction was 'du trois au dix'
Perhaps I'm being stupid, but my answer seems to follow the example better than the correction. Where is my error?
Vous êtes un amateur de vin
Vous êtes un amoureux du vin
Bonsoir
Pourquoi dans phrase 1 de vin
et dans phrase 2 du vin
Merci en avance
Just querying why it's leurs and not leur here. In a previous dictée I was told that it would only be leurs plural if each of the parties had several of the thing being talked about. Well surely, they each only posessed one "look" which crossed with the other's one "look", so why not "leur"?
Is "des belles choses" possible? (Or just wrong).
