there's a contradiction between lessonsThere's a contradiction between this lesson and J'habite à + [ville] = I live in + [city] in French As there explains that you always use à for cities. I quote "In French, to say which city you live in, you use: J'habite à + the city". Which one is right?

So, if 'Tu aimes ma soeur?' is 'Do you love my sister?' how do you say 'Do you like my sister?' Is it 'Tu aimes bien ma soeur?'

Question on "faire passer" vs "passer"

Bonjour !

While studying, I've found a sentence which drives me crazy for the last few days... I've been googling and reviewing my notes and Kwiziq's lessons, but I couldnt find a clear answer... Hope someone can help me out....

This is the sentence: " J'ai fait passer les coordonnées de tout le mond." And according to the source where I found it, the english translation of the sentence is this : "I've circulated everyone's contact details."

Based on the translation, I dont get it why "faire passer" is used instead of "passer". In my understanding, the word "passer" is also a transitive verb with a meaning "pass on/ hand over".

Would it be wrong if I use "J'ai passé" ?

I would much appreciate any response or explanation !

In the sentence " J' utilise ces tomates. Ce cont les dernières". Why can't we say "elles sont les dernières" since we talk about specific tomatoes?

In the first example there is a mistake.

Il aura eu froid cet hiver-là. He will have been (had) cold that winter.

La phrase “je ne suis pas sûre que’‘elle se soient excusées » utilise le subjonctif car elle est négative?

si c’etait « Je suis sûre que... » faudrait-il l’indicatif?

même question avec la formule « je ne crois pas que... »

Referring to http://www.french-linguistics.co.uk/grammar/avoir_or_etre.shtml can yo clarify "In other cases, particularly when the subject is a person, être is used:" e.g. he went up to the third floor. Is this different to your example above 'you went up the stairs silently"
