Les marrons are sweet chestnuts; horse chestnuts, popularly known as conkers, are marrons d'Inde. They are of a similar appearance but from different trees. Also, I wouldn't recommend eating horse chestnuts.

position of 2 adjectives describing same nounSentence: I have three pretty (noun): Do I write both French adjectives together, before the noun, please? One is a number (trois) and the other is about beauty (jolis/jolies)= BANGS rule, which ordinarily means that each of these adjectives goes before the noun when on their own; but do they still go before the noun when there are two adjectives, please? I would translate this as 'who are you speaking to? but I know the correct translation is 'who is speaking to you?' and I don't understand why so I wonder if you could explain please?
