More OptionsI feel like this one is lacking in options, as well, I need more clarity for my french comprehension:
A) "parce que j'aime la nourriture" wasn't a sufficient translation, although "because I love food" was the given sentence. The translations which were provided imply "I love food a lot" or "I really love food." Could more context be given other than "because I love food?"
B) "Résolue" is synonymous with "déterminée," is it not?
C) "Je vais manger équilibré" is not implicitly the same thing as "Je vais manger sainement." A balanced diet can be extremely unhealthy, (at least to my mind), as it implies eating more food groups, not necessarily less fatty or lower calorie or lower sodium foods. Are they synonymous in France?
d) "inscrire à la gym" seems to imply joining a (gymnastic) gym, while "inscrire au gym" implies a (physical fitness) gym, or am I mistaken??
The test answers are inconsistent; sometimes dix is changed to 10 and minutes to min and heurs to h. And sometimes not! IMHO if it is written as a word in the question then it should be written as a word in the answer ie ten = dix and hours = heurs.
Exactly! On means we, one, people. It does not mean you. So, if one did not check tu as a correct answer, then one should not have been marked wrong. On y va means let us go. It does not necessarily signify let's me and you go, even though on may include you. I think tu should not be included as a correct answer. Ok?
Hi, I don’t understand why one of the options is right or wrong. Too many choices make this a difficult lesson.
Hi Aurélie, In the very first example you use the subjunctive with the same subject Je ne pense pas que je puisse le faire. I thought that I had read a rule saying there must be two different subjects. ??
Hi, nice passage. I thought that the indicative tense is used after "après que" while the subjection with the expletive "ne" is used after "avant que." Could you please clarify as the past subjunctive is used after "après que" in the text. Merci !
Bonjour Madame Cécile !
Sorry for posting another question.
I believe that it’s good to be frank to my teacher and hence I would inform you that I was unable to understand the answer provided by Monsieur Chris(though it was accurate) to the question on the following link->
https://progress.lawlessfrench.com/questions/view/grammar-queries-based-on-conceptsI request you to please provide me with a comprehensive answer to the same which would enhance my learning.
Merci Beaucoup Madame !
I Have completed A1 & A2. While attempting for a test on this portal I am qualified to learn B1. I am interested to know how long it should take to complete the B1 level?
Many thanks in advance.
Fourth line - 'and' instead of 'et'
......pendant lequel nous riions AND discutions tous dans un joyeux chaos.
