I do not understand why a 10 minutes de is wrong, and a 10 mins de is right. I have not yet seen the latter given as an example.
Is it 'des' because the reference is to some brown hair? I thought it always had to be: les cheveux !
Also, DES lèvres fines , but DE dents blanches! Cecile's response below indicates that "de" = of, while the 'des' related to thin lips means some? Would really appreciate clarification.
Why is this correct? Isn't "quel, quelle etc." only for things? and while Les filles à qui je pense sont géniales is correct is there a difference in meaning between the two?
Bonjour à tous,
I've come access this sentence somewhere using "être on train de" in Conditionnel passé tense:
I would have been skying in the Alps if I hadn’t broken my leg.
Je serais en train de skier dans les Alpes si je ne m’étais pas cassé la
jambe.
I think we must use avoir (in Conditionnel présent) + être (in past participle) as follow:
J'aurais été en train de skier....
Could you explain which one is correct?
Merci beaucoup d'avance.
Après qu’ils sont arrivés, ils vont saluer ma mère.After they've arrived, they go and say hello to my mother.I think it would be after they have arrived they are going to say hello to my mother
wouldn't be?Why I was wrong with imparfait?
Would it also be correct to say:
Nous nous l'imaginons blonde avec les yeux bleus?
In the lesson it mentions 'the irregular root prenn-' but I think it is in fact regular. The present 3rd person indicative plural is Ils prennent and that leads to prenn- as the subjunctive stem. Isn't it only irregular in the 1st and 2nd person plural where the prenn- becomes pren- as in prenions and preniez?
