Use of dontIn French, does one think of somebody, or does one think to somebody. Surely " La personne dont je pense me rend heureux." is correct. The person of whom I think makes me happy. Yet the answer shown to be correct was, " La personne à laquelle je pense me rend heureux." The person to whom I think makes me happy." Please clarify this for me. Thank you.

"Les vaches, dont les fermiers observent les bébés, se reposent dans le pré." Who is in the meadow?The cows, {including} or{ whose} the farmers watch the babies, rest in the meadow. Question "Who is in the meadow?" it could be 1. The cows. or 2. The babies. This is a questionable question.
