François Ier protégea Léonard de Vinci. The sound for 'François Ier protégea Léonard de Vinci.' says 'François premier protégea Léonard de Vinci.' Is this an error?

Does not the verb chanter begins with an “sh” sound? In your example “tu chante bien » the sh sounded like s.

My question is about the English translation of 'gras' and 'grass.'In the question above, "Le bacon est gras mais la salade n'est pas grasse." is translated to: "Bacon is fat but salad is not fat." Wouldn't: "Bacon is fatty but salad is not fatty." be a more accurate translation? "Fat" is a noun or adjective describing size, whereas "fatty" describes something that is more caloric. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

pommes de terres?

Why is "pommes de terre" not a correct plural of "pomme de terre", or perhaps the correct plural? I've never before seen "pommes de terres".

why use d' in front of adorable?why is d' used with, elles ont fait d'adorable bracelets and des used with, vous aver fait les des cookies pour la foire. I understand adorable begins with a vowel, as there are mulitple cookies, I don't understand why the plural, des, has not been used. Thankyou

If this asking if you like a specific colour. Why is it not "Oui, il est tres jolie!

Another referred to ma coupe - it was Elle est tres ....., WHY elle here?
