Write "I'm walking my dog": Je ________ mon chien.I thought that the answer for this gap is promené, but it’s actually promène. Is it promène because of the word ‘am’ in I’m ? Would it be promené if the sentence was ‘I walk my dog’ ?

French verbs that require an indirect object pronoun The French verb appeler, to call: if you wanted to say: "I am calling her", would you use a direct or an indirect object pronoun, please? .. Je l'appelle ? (l' = la: direct object pronoun)...or... Je lui appelle ? (lui = to her, indirect object pronoun). For example, you must use only an indirect object pronoun when using these verbs: écrire; envoyer; rendre, and many others, etc. What about this verb appeler, please? Calling her, or calling to her? C'est moi qui payeWhy can't you just say Je paye? Or someone corrected me after I said that my small daughter is ill (La petite est malade <- wrong, C'est la petite qui est malade <- why?)

"We improved rapidly" why is this "nous nous sommes rapidement améliorés" instead of "nous avons rapidement amélioré"? I have no idea when to make a verb reflexive!
