Could someone help me with the following question from quiz 789678:
I use these tomatoes. These are the last ones.
J'utilise ces tomates. Ce sont les dernières.
Why is it not "... Elles sont les dernières."?
This question relates to:French lesson "C'est vs il/elle est: Saying it is/she is/he is"

I worked it out... it is because of the following statement from #1 above:
If "it is" is followed by un/une/le/la...(any form of article / determinant) - it is a beautiful dress - then you will use c'est.
I'll try to be more careful in reading the notes in the future :)
