Tout d'abord merci pour ce chanson, quelle poésie merveilleuse. En ce qui concerne le verse " Qui n'ait jamais viré de bord, mais viré de bord" il me semble qu'il y deaux significations différents ici. La premiere est que le bons copain restent encore inébranalble mais par contre la deuxième partie du verse signifie qu'ils prennent un chemin ou un cours different.

I have learned third person plural conjugation is cochent, but this word 'cochant' I couldn't find in a dictionary.
As you know, cocher is infinitive form of verb but what about cochant? Please!
The original context: "Répondez aux questions en cochant la ou less bonne response."

In the following sentence why is him the word lui and not le? I thought lui was usually used only with verbs that could be associated with à. The example: “ “It’s necessary that I find him an original gift.”
according to another app I’m using the correct answer is: “ il faut que je lui trouve un cadeau original” and not “il faut que je le trouve un cadeau original” I’m confused with this.
And while we're on that question, the correctEnglish option, you decorated your flat, is not available. You did decorate your flat is a bizarre emphatic response to a conversation that goes something like ' Who decorated your flat?' 'We did' 'Oh, I was told it was done for you. So you did decorate your flat.' It's such an odd thing to say it's hard to construct a piece of fiction to illustrate it.
When doing the writing tests, I find myself regularly struggling with knowing when to place accents (and regularly second-guessing myself too!).
Are there any rules of thumb to help with this? For example, the 'ô' seems to always appear in words which sound similar in english and one would place an 's': eg hôpital, hôtel, hôte, etc.
I generally have trouble with accented 'e's (ignoring the "obvious" accents, such as when using the passé composé and other conjugation rules) so any advice would be very welcome.
rejoindre is an infinitive. Shouldn't it be rejoignons or rejoindrons?
Are both of these options correct? When do you use à + direct/indirect pronoun?
