What's a better dictionary for English to French translations? I've been using Google Translate, but there are many words, like "a ride"....translated to "un tour" and not "une manège" OR "queue line" translated to "la file d'attente." Concerned I'll be using some archaic or a rarely used definition.

liaison with soit...soitIs there no liaison between soit and the word that follows it? None of the sound files seemed to include it, whether soit preceded un/une/en... Thank you!

10 minutes en avance"Je suis arrivée 10 minutes en avance" seems to be common in Montreal, QC, Canada. Is this incorrect?

Use of "y"In one lesson (about the use of non plus) there was an example "Il ne joue pas souvent au foot, et toi ? -Je n'y joue pas souvent non plus." Please add to the lesson a link to the lesson that explains this use of "y" (had expected "en") - I'm familiar with y being used to refer to a previously mentioned location but this was something else.

Singular article with plural adjective + noun?

Hello,

I've run into a few sentences that use a singluar "de" before a plural adjective + noun. Like, "Elle a de grands meubles." Why is it de in this case and not "des"?
