Difference between 'tout en + gérondif' and 'en + gérondif'

If tout en + gérondif is used when two actions are being done at the same time why is the translation of "She's revising while having her breakfast" Elle révise en prenant son petit-déjeuner instead of Elle révise tout en prenant son petit-déjeuner?

subjunctive v indicative

hi

can someone please explain why " je suis desolée que tu es triste" is in indicative but

"je suis desolée que ton roman n'aie pas été publié en france "is in the subjunctive

i assume it is to do with negativity but the je suis desoléé hasn't changed

Aller àConfused re "These hats suit us" I put: Ces chapeaux... vont à nous" thinking that it had to contain the "aller à" form, and also that it'd be weird to end in the verb. But correct answer was "Ces chapeaux nous vont". Can you explain this one for me? Tx!

So basically French doesn't have " could have, " it has, " have been capable of. "With " pu " being the one translated to " been capable of. " I think this should be in the lesson, to make this easier to understand.
