Why does one say "je vais parler un peu français" or Je parle un peu le français when un peu is normally followed by de. Even if languages are usuallyfollowed by an article, doesn't the un peu override that?

How do you say a "half-bottle" of wine?In the US we call the 375ml-sized bottle a "half-bottle." Is there an equivalent in French that does not mean "half a bottle" but refers to the size of the bottle?

"For pronunciation reasons, you will use en with masculine countries starting with a vowel" yet États-Unis is using aux. Is that only because it is plural?
