Vous avez raison. Quel bonne historie!
In one of the answers to a test it says
Est-ce ta trousse? - Oui, c'est la mienne. Is this your pencil case? - Yes, this is mine.
Going by this lesson here, would it be correct to say
Est-ce ta trousse? - Oui, elle est la mienne. Is this your pencil case? - Yes, it is mine.
The difference being between THIS and IT.
Suggestions please, for the best way to find the vocabulary given at the start of each writing exercise and dictée. I use the WordReference app and the unabridged Collins Robert dictionary, but frequently find that phrases in particular are difficult or impossible to find, which makes the vocab list unhelpful. Thanks.
When I looked up the vocab word 'hilarious' on my own I got hilare, but when I used it in the exercise it was marked wrong.
If "J'ai failli rater mon examen" means I almost failed my exam, how would one say I almost missed my exam? Seems like there is some ambiguities in the word rater in this context. Thanks.
I thought the marking was a bit odd as I have underlined the words I got wrong and one was a verb avertir I used in lieu of prèvenir?
- Bonjour Sandra ! J'ai besoin de ton aide. - Qu'est-ce que je peux faire pour toi ? - Je dois partir(quitter) à midi parce que ma fille est malade. Est-ce que tu peux prévenir(avertir) Jean-Pierre ? - Pas de problème ! J'ai une réunion avec lui avant mon déjeuner avec Marielle. - Merci beaucoup ! Lucie a de la fièvre et je suis un peu inquiète. - Je comprends. À demain !Hello,
I'd like to know Why am I not able to control the player or why are there no player controls for the audio? Or is this intentional that I must listen through the whole exercise without being able to playback a particular section?
Thank you.
Hi room and experts
Please can someone explain use of 'en' in sentence, 'Nous savons que tu as travaillé dur pour en arriver là'
I am confused because my understanding is that 'en' is used to replace a (de + phrase) proposition following a verb. However, in this case, I do not see how the verb 'arriver' could have been followed by the 'de' proposition and hence I am confused
