La fleur sent bon.

Which is the correct comparison:

Mais cette fleur sent meilleure.

Mais cette fleur sent mieux.

I see in an exercise that "I'm having new sandals made." is translated as "Je me fais faire de nouvelles sandales." I don't understand why the "me" is necessary in this case. I can see why for verbs like brosser, couper, raser, doucher, and so on. But not in this case. What am I missing?

Is certaines different to many French adjectives in it doesn't go to -nne in the feminine.

In the sentence "il suffit d’observer ce que font les autres et les imiter," why have the verb (font) and the subject (les autres) swapped places? Shouldn't it be "il suffit d’observer ce que les autres font et les imiter"?

Wish could explain more how en dans du etc in the example is right for you.. some are obvious.. what if you do not know what is a region city province  etc etc.. do not specifically show in beginner questions why exactly your example follows the rule.  it is rudimentary boring for you.. else its back to having to memorize what is correct what is not. especially in the beginner examples. so frustrating. 

Do the singular names that refer to groups take the same conjugation like (il/elle) or like (ils/elles) 

Ex: is it la famille est or la famille sont ?

Why is this not in the passe compose?  tout le monde a eu son ....
