How would you say: how was it?
I think it's: comment s'est passé?
Is this correct?
Why not include the meanings of "vase" as they change according to gender? La vase is mud, whereas le vase is a vase.
Why is "délicieux" placed before the noun in A great weekend and A Thanksgiving gift, "un délicieux repas" but after the noun in A romantic trip to Paris "des vins délicieux"
I have read that if the subject of the secondary clause is the same, that one should not use the subjunctive, instead just use the infinitive. But i have a sentence where i'm trying to figure out how to do that even though it feels like the subject has to be restated and would require conjugation. I'm trying to say "Sometimes I feel like i don't know any french", and here's what i've come up with. Would be great to get some guidance on this, perhaps there's a better way to construct the sentence. Merci!
Parfois, je me semble que je ne sache aucun de francais.
How and when to use avoir beau
Hello,
I learnt in another lesson that after "Quand" usually + Futur simple (Quand/pendant que + future tense (Le Futur Simple) - not the present tense = When/while I do something in the future (Sequence of Tenses in French) ), but in this lesson it is + Futur Antérieur. So how do you know when to + which tense?
Or are there cases where they can be used interchangeably?
Thank you.
