Using "non" to replace "n'est-ce pas"

What about adding "non" at the end of a question when seeking confirmation?

Such as "Tu parles anglais, non?" as a shorthand for "Tu parles anglais, n'est-ce pas?"

Why is personne considered a plural noun? I thought it needed an “s” to be plural.

Passé composé with être or avoir or both?Hi can you help me with the conjugation of "passer"with être and avoir. There is an example of both but I'm not sure how to know when to use them.. Ma tante est passée........, nous avons passé une semaine...... When it's se passer it's not a problem as it's always conjugated with être. Many thanks

''Qu'aiment-ils?'' I understand why this is a contraction of "Que aiment" and therefore means What do they like, but why can't it also be a contraction of "Qui aiment" and therefore Who do they love?
