Any good personal user with a good lead to pass the TEF exams

Hi

to say "we missed you" = tu nous as manqué (sort of saying : you were missed by us)

so why is it "Paul a manqué son train," = straight translation "Paul missed his train," and not "son train a manqué à Paul" or "son train Paul a manqué"? Thank you.

For the expression "There are plenty of fish in the sea" the translation for the exercise is  "Un de perdu, dix de retrouvés". Could you also use also use the expression "Le mer est plein des poissons".

From my understanding, french does not put two vowel together and will use "j'", "d'", "l'", etc. if there is a vowel as the first letter. I also know that "h" is silent and also uses "j'","d'","l'". etc. 

I would like to know why and if there other letters that follow this rule. Thank you very much in advance.

I joined kwiziq today and I already love it! I just wanted to ask how to practice for a writing test because obviously you cannot predict the question. Would you recommend writing about everything and doing loads of practice questions (however that would take a REALLY long time)? Or do you think just revising and learning the vocabulary and grammar is enough? I just always feel so unprepared for writing tests so I hope joining kwiziq will help.

"le feu d'artifice, qui est censé être bien plus grand que d'où je viens", is supposed to be the translation of "fireworks, which are supposed to be much bigger than where I'm from"

Is not something missing here, in both languages? Should it not read "than the ones where I am from", i e "the ones" is missing, and also in the  french translation? Ceux?
