Vous vous souvenez des îles Cyclades. = Vous vous rappelez des îles Cyclades.. souvenez-vous des îles Cyclades
Perhaps Rappelez is better, but that was not the lesson
Thank you for your comment! This test question is part of the lesson on "se souvenir de - se rappeler (de) = To remember". It is not asking for an inversion here as there is no question mark at the end of the second statement. It is asking to write another way of expressing 'se souvenir de', i.e. using 'se rappeler de'.
However, I will pass this on to our language team to review. ;-)
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
Vous souvenez-vous des Îles Cyclades?
You need the first vous because se souvenir is reflexive.
Then, I guess, all that remains is to use the "report it" button.
I did not find the correct inverted question "vous souvenez vous de..." in your post. There you had "souvenez-vous" without the initial "vous". Just wanting to make sure.
Vous souvenez-vous des Îles Cyclades.Vous rappelez-vous les Îles Cyclades.Vous rappelez-vous des Îles Cyclades. (With "des" instead of "les" it is a bit more colloquial.)
Thanks Chris.. I apologise for the ambiguity but I was thinking only of why they had marked Souvenez as incorrect when that was the form of the question. Clearly an inconsistency and I will report it. Cheers.
This test question has now been amended so as to avoid any ambiguity.
Merci et bonne journée !
