I do not understand why "Sams does Aikido" is translated as "Sam fait de l'aïkido.". The lesson says that in front of masculine nouns that de le and les will contract to du and des. Why is this not "Sam fait du aïkido"?

I would guess that 'j'espere que' take the subjunctive, even when the clause refers to the future. But the clause is actually in the future! So does this mean that the future trumps a subjunctive? (I understand that there is no future-subjenctive)

Where do you place adverbs with the passive voice verb. The placement of "correctement" at the end could be justified because it is a "long" adverb. But it also does modify the verb "se comporter". Where would an adverb like "bien" go?

In "it is going to cook the yolk" the verb has an object so it used transitively. Shouldn't the French be "faire cuire" rather than just "cuire"?
