“…four or so…” sounds like an indeterminate or uncountable number to me, hence should be included amongst the right answers to the use of “quelques”. is it four or isn’t it four? :-)
In one of the previous lesson it was taught that we can use "par" with planes, here I use par but it was market incorrectly.
In the first sentence, "Depuis que je suis petite fille, j'ai toujours adoré m'asseoir" why is the first half in present tense, and the second half passé composé?
Also, for the sentence, "les gracieuses ballerines qui se produisaient à l'Opéra," is "jouer" not an acceptable translation for perform?
Can we say nous étions censés .... instead of nous devions arriver....?
I see in an exercise that "I'm having new sandals made." is translated as "Je me fais faire de nouvelles sandales." I don't understand why the "me" is necessary in this case. I can see why for verbs like brosser, couper, raser, doucher, and so on. But not in this case. What am I missing?

J'ai choisi créer pour "made up" mais il ne marchait pas. À sa place, vous avez proposé "inventer." Dans la deuxième instance, j'ai utilisé "inventer ". Vous avez fait la correction, "créer ". Je pense que tous les deux devraient être acceptable dans chaque traduction. Make up, imagine, create sont des synonymes dans le contexte de cette histiore. L'histoire était mignon comme d'habitude. Félicitations !
