What is the difference between les transports en commun and les transports publics?
Hi,
I wonder why is it "sur Orléans" and not "à Orléans" ?
With regard to “avec nos lèvres gercées, notre chair de poule constante et nos nez écarlates !”
As people have one nose each, should this be “… et notre nez écarlate !”?
In the answers to "and equality also means freedom", it seems as if "l'égalité" and "la liberté" can be used in place of "égalité" and "liberté".
Does this mean that if you use "l'égailté" that you should also use "la liberté", or if you use "égalité" you should use "liberté"? Or is there some subtlety with the verb chosen that would require the use of an article?
So why is it that 1e, 2e, 3e, is only used for ranks / positions and never for dates.. (except 1st/ 1e i think?)
I translated mortgage as "hypothèque" but that wasn't one of the accepted answers. What's the difference between hypothèque and emprunt immobilier?
Hi,
This sentence:
Palme d’Or is the highest prize awarded every year at the Cannes film festival. = La Palme d'Or est la plus haute distinction décernée chaque année au Festival de Cannes.
Why is it décernée with the extra "e"? Thank you
sur de la musique - dancing on the music? Can anyone shine a light on this please?
Could you explain why the English "Yes, I agree with you." would be translated to the French "Oui, j'accorde avec toi."? I would have thought it would be "Oui, je suis d’accord avec toi" and even Google Translate renders it that way. Not that I am saying Google Translate is authoritative, but I don't really recall "j'accorde" even being in that lesson. But I will go back and look for it again. Thanks.
(Added a couple of minutes later: I did another quiz and this time it agreed with my "Oui, je suis d’accord avec toi".)
Hello
Is it possible to export the list? For example, I want to import it into app like Anki to practice?
Thanks,
Quyen
