In the example "J'ai bu un tiers de la bouteille". The audio speaker is a woman and the word bottle is feminine-why use the masculine version tiers?Thank you.

Subject vs object ...I found the lesson confusing as well as the answer to this question. Je (subject) regarde (object) un film object, why was (un film) the subject. Also in the lesson its informs us that the "subject" can be replaced with with a "pronoun" , and then proceeds to replace the "object" with a "Pronoun. I do not comprehend why I am wrong."

The preposition "de"Is the preposition "de" needed whenever "faire exprès" is followed by an infinitive? Whereas with conjugated verbs we can do without "de"? Or is it more complicated than that?
