Mangeons-en vs allez-vous enThe lesson shows us "mangeons-en" and I know that "allez-vous en" is a valid sentence. Both are imperative. Why the difference in construction? Why is it not "mangeons-nous en" or "allez-en"? It is just that "allez-vous en" is an idiom or there some underlying graammatical rule?

Why is it le tiers monde rather than le troisième monde since tiers is normally a fraction?

Use of "autres" instead of "d'autres" or "des autres"

In the third paragraph beginning, "Dans les décennies qui suivent", the expression "autres" appears without a "d'" or a "des" preceeding it. According to the PwLF lesson, that's incorrect.

LUI/ ELLE: stress or indirect object pronoun after parler à?I'm glad Stuart asked this. I'm confused too. Sadly I'm no further enlightened by the answer given here. If both stress pronouns and indirect object pronouns follow structures such as 'écrire à qqn', 'téléphoner à qqn' etc., how do we know whether to use 'elle' (stress pronoun) or 'lui' (indirect object pronoun)? Grateful for more clarification. Many thanks.

Is this grammar right? (imparfait tense)For an assessment, we have to recount events of what we did with a friend in imperfect tense (l'imparfait). I have this sentence here which I am not sure of the grammar. Nous partageons nos problèmes et aidions les uns et autres. (we shared our problems and helped each other) Am confused.

des efforts vs un effort ... ?I don't think this is a question pertaining to the subjunctive, however, it is something I am unsure about and which appears in this lesson. So I may as well ask here. "... fassions des efforts" - is translated as "... make an effort." But yet, "... fassiez des cookies" is translated as "... make some cookies." Why does one say "des efforts" rather than "un effort" to mean "an effort"? Thanks!!
