hi, why "L'année prochaine" is femenine in the example:
L'année prochaine, il commence l'université.
J'habite à Alexandrie en Egypte. Est-ce correct ?
Bonjour, why is it not 'nous sommes arrivées'? I put an extra 'e' because Marie is a female.
In the audio for “Mais la ville essaie de prendre des initiatives écolos.” it sounds to me like a conjugated “prend” (i.e. silent “d”, so sounds like “pren”), instead of the infinitive “prendre”.
ce gars parle trop vite!
Why can't it be - "On ne doit pas que penser à soi." ? [One must not only think about oneself.]
And doesn't this translate to - On ne doit pas penser qu'à soi -- "One must not think that about oneself." (because 'penser que' - to think that)
Please explain.
I have few friends
Are both translations correct?
J'ai quelques amis
J'ai peu d'amis

The following answer is given as correct: 'J'ai eu peur que nous soyons arrivés trop tard'.
My question is: given its 'negative ' sentiment shouldn't the answer include the 'ne expletif'?
