In the phrase, "j'arrive à manger du riz", how does one rephrase it using the indirect object pronoun method. Since lui, leur refer to people.

Négation pluriel"We don't eat baby rabbits" -> "Nous ne mangeons pas de lapereau" selon un quiz. Je sais que 'des' devient 'de' dans les phrases négatives, mais pourquoi pas 'lapereaux'?

OK now I get it.OK now I get it. It's "I'm used to..." rather than "I used to..." , so it's "J'ai"for the former and "J'avais" for the latter

Verbs + prepositionI am confused here. The question says "arriver" is "to manage". However is "arriver" not "to arrive" and "arriver à" is "to manage"?

Why is it not "Il FAISAIT beau tous le temps"? It so describes a condition that continued for the duration of the weekend and that sets the event in the weather of the sojourn.

Would this be a correct parallel to GermanIs there anyone speaking German here? Because I couldn't get my head around the explanation given in this lesson. It just seems very difficult to explain to a native English speaker. However, I get the impression that "attendre" would translate to "warten" in German whereas "s'attendre à" corresponds to "erwarten". The former simply is a statement while the latter is putting the focus more on what you're waiting for. -- Chris.

Link to a lesson on the conditional présent. Conditional présent looks like infinitive + endings for the imperfect, but there seem to be exceptions - e.g. être.
